Our strategy is designed in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives, with ESG criteria directly integrated into our decision-making processes. At the same time, we regularly monitor our performance and proactively manage all sustainability risks, particularly those related to climate change.

We Progress with Short-, Medium- and Long-Term Goals

The foundation of our sustainability strategy consists of short-, medium- and long-term goals. In the short term, we focus on increasing energy and resource efficiency, optimizing water usage, strengthening our employees’ sustainability awareness, and improving our operations in line with environmental sensitivity. In the long term, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint, minimize our environmental impacts, expand circular economy practices, and standardize sustainable healthcare services across all our facilities. These goals are regularly renewed in line with performance data and supported by a continuous improvement approach.

Contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals

By prioritizing our contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we adopt a responsible approach across environmental, social, and governance areas. While producing ethical, innovative, and environmentally conscious solutions in line with good governance principles, we also aim to enhance community welfare and happiness. Through projects focused on technological advancement and sustainability, we continue to play our part in creating a healthier and more balanced future. By integrating the SDGs into all our business processes, we not only contribute to global goals but also create long-term value for our stakeholders.

As MLP Care, with the approach of “Excellence in Healthcare, Sustainability in the Future,” we embrace a holistic sustainability vision that actively contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We shape all our activities in line with sustainability principles to ensure that healthcare services are accessible, environmentally friendly, and based on the principle of equality; and we position reducing our environmental impacts, strengthening public health, and supporting social equality among our strategic priorities.

In this context, we not only focus on excellence in healthcare services but also take strong steps to build a long-term sustainable future for our planet and societies. We structure our sustainability efforts around four main themes—Excellence in Governance, Excellence in Environment, Excellence in Society, and Excellence in Technology—and by improving our organizational processes in line with these themes, we progress in alignment with a total of 12 SDGs.

Sustainability Index Performance

As MLP Care, we transparently share our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance through the indices and assessments of international rating organizations, providing our stakeholders with an accountable sustainability approach. We adopt the methodologies of these indices as a guiding framework to continuously improve our performance.

Our Performance in International Indices

The increase of our CDP Climate Change and Water Program score from C to B- is a strong indicator of our improvement in the field of environmental sustainability. In line with the new CDP methodology, we aim to expand our scope in the areas of climate change, water security, and deforestation.

Under the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), we demonstrated that we have carried our environmental and social responsibilities into a corporate systematic by receiving a score above the sector average. We continue to exhibit strong performance in Refinitiv ESG assessments as well, with our data transparency, environmental management, and governance practices.

Sectoral Leadership: BIST Indices

As MLP Care, we are included in the BIST Sustainability Index and the BIST Sustainability Participation Index. Being the first and only healthcare services company included in these indices strengthens our sectoral leadership in sustainability.

As MLP Care, we embrace digital transformation as one of the fundamental elements of our corporate culture and move forward with a comprehensive digitalization approach aimed at increasing quality, efficiency, and accessibility in healthcare services. We effectively use digital technologies across all our business areas, from R&D to supply chain, and from human resources to financial and operational processes.

Our Digital Transformation Office carries out activities to adapt to innovations in the healthcare sector and to lead technology-oriented transformations. We consider improving the patient experience, enhancing operational planning, and increasing efficiency across the organization among our strategic priorities.

By taking into account the needs of our hospitals as well as employee and patient feedback, we develop the most suitable technological solutions. Sustainable and responsible corporate practices are an integral part of MLP Care’s corporate strategy. In addition to creating added value for our patient, employees, and investors, we fulfill our responsibilities towards the environment and society. In this context, while continuously enhancing our climate and environmental protection measures, we promote diversity and increase our societal contributions. We support female leadership within our company, enhance gender diversity, and are resolutely advancing towards our goal of reducing carbon emissions.

In line with our carbon neutrality goal by 2050, we are creating our roadmap and accelerating our steps in this process by setting short-term targets.
